How Stem Invoicing and Stem POS fit together
Stem POS is the counter: it rings sales, prints receipts, counts stock and closes the day. Stem Invoicing is the paperwork: the quotation before the job, the invoice after it, the statement at month-end. Some businesses need one, some need both, and they are built to be used together under one login.

A hardware shop that sells over the counter and also supplies sites on invoice. Stem Invoicing comes with Basic, Standard and Premium: install the app, sign in with the same email, and your customers and product list are there.
- One login. The owner signs in to both apps with the same email and password.
- Customers. A customer created in either app is the same customer in the other.
- Product list. Items and prices imported into Stem Invoicing land in the same catalogue the till sells from.
- Business details. Your name, logo, currency and contact lines appear on receipts and on invoices alike.
- Stock. An invoice or delivery note takes saved products off the POS count; a purchase order received in Stem Invoicing puts goods on the shelf. Cancel or void, and the goods go back.
- Invoice payments are not yet in the POS day report.
- A credit note does not put goods back on the shelf — most are price corrections. Goods that actually come back are a return at the till.
- A quotation or sales order does not reserve stock.

Do I need Stem POS to use Stem Invoicing?
No. Stem Invoicing is a product on its own. A consultant, a hardware supplier or a workshop that never sells across a counter can use it alone, on the Invoicing plan at USh 10,000 a month.
I already run Stem POS. Do I need a second account?
No. Stem Invoicing is included with the Basic, Standard and Premium Stem POS plans: install the app and sign in with your store email, and your customers, your product list and your business details are already there. On the Free plan, add the Invoicing plan or move to a plan that includes it.
Does an invoice reduce my POS stock?
Yes, for items picked from your product list. When you issue an invoice or a delivery note, each line that is a saved product comes off the same stock the till sells from, oldest-expiry lots first; a line you typed as free text (a service, a delivery fee) moves nothing. If you write both a delivery note and an invoice for the same goods, the stock moves once. Cancelling or voiding the document puts the goods back into the lots they came from. Receiving a purchase order in Stem Invoicing puts the goods on the shelf at cost, exactly as receiving at the till does.
Which devices does it run on?
Android phones and tablets today, as an app you download from this site. Windows and iPhone builds are coming. There is no browser edition of Stem Invoicing.
Is it EFRIS-ready?
Not yet. The app holds the EFRIS settings and the structure is built, but documents are not yet transmitted to URA. Do not rely on Stem Invoicing for EFRIS compliance today; keep filing the way you do now.
How much does it cost?
On its own, USh 10,000 a month, billed by MTN or Airtel mobile money, with a 30-day free trial (one trial per account, no card). If you run Stem POS on Basic, Standard and Premium, you already have it at no extra cost.
